Table Manners by Alan Ayckbourn. Table Manners is one of three plays from the Norman Conquests (1973) in which each play is set over a weekend in a different location; namely the garden, the living room and the dining room. The dining room is the scene for Table Manners where Reg, Sarah (his wife), Ruth (Reg’s sister), Norman (Ruth's husband), Annie (Reg & Ruth’s younger sister) and Tom interact. During the weekend various characters lose their patience, have their romantic weekend plans wrecked and have trouble deciding where to sit. Table
