60 Years of LADS

Cake Cutting

To celebrate 60 years of LADS a celebration party was held at Longsdon Memorial Hall on Saturday 1st October 2005.

The event attracted over 70 past and present members of the society from far and wide including our two Life Members Betty Simpson, who was a founder member, and Dorothy Hansell who first performed in 1960.

Guests were presented with a slideshow tracing the development of the LADS from 1945 to the present day and to a celebratory cake decorated with photographs from the 60 years of productions that had taken place.

President David Briggs and Life Members Betty Simpson and Dorothy Hansell cut the cake
